District IV provides financial support and camperships to four language and cultural camps.

Trollfjorden Language Camp

A Norwegian Cultural Experience on the shores of Lake Metigoshe
Metigoshe Retreat Center, June 6-9, 2019 (near Bottineau, ND). Come by yourself or bring your family to experience your Norwegian heritage first hand. Registrations are due by May 2019.  Registrations are accepted on a first come first served basis. Bjørnetann Language and Cultural Camp

Location – Luccock Park Camp, Livingston MT (brochure)
Dates – July 18-21 (Thursday evening through Sunday morning)
Theme – Syttende Mai
All ages – family oriented

Scholarships for youth available (see website or brochure)

We are at a new location (which includes a limited number of RV sites with electric hookups) and look forward to exploring a new camping area.  We also have two new classes and several Norwegian games. Check out our new website for more information and forms.

Trollhaugen Language Arts and Cultural Camp

Alberta – August 11-17, 2019 (Sunday through Saturday)
Theme – Music in Norway
Deer Valley Meadows Camp (near Alix, Alberta)
All ages, family participation

Skogfjorden Language Camp

Operated by Concordia University
Located outside Bemidji, MN.
Ages 7-18, 1, 2 and 4 weeks sessions

Many lodges will grant to children and grandchildren of lodge members camperships to Skogfjorden. District 4 also awards camperships to Skogfjorden to Sons of Norway Junior Lodge members or children and grandchildren.  The amount of the campership varies each year depending on funding.

Submit copy of Skogfjorden application form to local lodge by February 1st of each year for consideration.
