District IV Language and Cultural Camps

District IV provides financial support and camperships to four language and cultural camps.

Remember the Folk Art Competition coming up at the 2018 convention in Bismarck as you are working on handicrafts at camp and through the year.

Host lodge Sverdrup is offering an opportunity for campers to enter their cultural skills projects in a separate arts competition at the convention. It is open to any age level or skill level, but the project must be completed at the camp in 2016, 2017, or 2018. See the Cultural Camp Competition form for more information.

  • The Trollhaugen Website will have updated forms about mid-March.  Some forms have fillable sections.  To use that feature, export these forms as .pdf files to your computer.  Save each form with your first and last name, e.g., Sven Olsen Application.
If you prefer to print the forms and mail them or scan and e-mail them back to the registrar, you are able to do that as well.
  • Lodges awarding youth camperships are encouraged to support only those who register by the deadline. This encourages more timely registration, which helps a great deal with scheduling and human resources. The deadline is MAY 30, 2018.
  • New this year:
    • lower fee for campers age 70+ who have attended camp for 15 years or more.
    • pre-set schedule for older youth and adults – select between classes in the same time slot
