District IV Language and Cultural Camps
For many years District IV has provided financial support and camperships to three language and cultural camps–Bjornetann in Montana, Trollfjorden in North Dakota, and Trollhaugen in Alberta. Bjornetann had a great 20-year run but formally disbanded in 2023.

Trollhaugen Language Arts and Cultural Camp
(now in District 7, District IV participants are welcome!)
Location – Deer Valley Meadows Camp (near Alix, Alberta)
When – August 9-15, 2026
Theme – Sports and Olympics
All ages, family participation
Registrations are due by May 15, and fees are due by May 31.
We will be doing Google Forms for registration again. A form must be completed for each family member.

Along with the registration forms, we will require:
- A Health form for each family member attending.
- Adults will need to complete the Adult waiver, the Accompanying adult consent form for each child, and the DVM waiver.
- Children will need to complete the Child Waiver and the DVM Waiver.

Skogfjorden Norwegian Language Village (MN)
Overnight Norwegian youth camps
Operated by Concordia Language Villages
Located outside Bemidji, MN.
Many lodges grant camperships to children and grandchildren of lodge members. District IV also awards Skogfjorden camperships to Sons of Norway Junior Lodge members or children and grandchildren of members. The amount of the campership varies each year depending on funding.
Submit copy of Skogfjorden application form to local lodge by February 1st of each year for consideration.
Scandia Camp Mendocino (CA)
Scandia Camp was offered free, online, on May 31, 2025.
